Summer Haggins BSN, MBA

Speaker, Mentor, Certified Life Purpose Coach and Published Author

Since Summer was young, she always had a natural love for people and helping others. This love is what prompted her to attend school for nursing. In 2003, Summer graduated from Ursuline College where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. In 2007, she received her Masters of Business Administration from Cleveland State University. With over 10 years of experience in the nursing and management field, Summer witnessed people that not only suffered from  physical diseases that were often the result of obesity and other unhealthy choices, but also experienced  mental and emotional distress due to battling  the “struggles” of life.  Summer faced her own body image obstacles as she dealt with low self- esteem for many years and secretly fought an eating disorder in her early 20s.

Several years ago,  Summer also experienced a painful divorce that left her questioning her own self- worth and womanhood like never before.   As a result, she decided to take her power back and build her self – esteem through making healthy choices and immersing herself around as many positive people and situations as possible. In 2012, Summer began running and four months later, completed a full 26.2 mile marathon.   In October 2014, Summer started weightlifting and competed in her first bikini show in March 2015. Seven months later, Summer competed in her second show as a figure competitor and placed third. Over the course of time, she not only went through a physical transformation, but more importantly an emotional, mental and spiritual one. Summer has a love for physical fitness but knows the importance of mental and emotional health as well.

She has a passion for empowering women and truly believes that every woman, regardless of her age or circumstance, has the potential to achieve greatness and live the life that she desires.  Summer recently released her first book “I am Warrior Princess: The Fight for the Life I Want”, which challenges women to become their best selves ever.

Summer is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and Black Career Women’s Network.  She is active in her church and serves on the Community Impact ministry team.
